Thank you everyone for your kind words of encouragement and congratulations to us on our 15-year anniversary. The last 15 years have flown by. It seems like it was only yesterday when we started out.

“People are still the best investment” is a phrase figured prominently on our website, and it’s there for a reason. I started the business with a simple premise: Recruitment is first and foremost a relationship business. It’s not a transactional business, but a personalized consulting business involving real people. Everyone we meet, we treat with respect, regardless of their immediate plans to change their job.

From the start, I never envisioned the business growing to a large number of consultants. Instead, my interest has always been to focus on the quality of the relationships with the people we interact with. Just like we focus on the quality of the candidates that we introduce to our clients, we apply the same level of vetting to our consultants. This is why we have such a great team now. I’m very proud of the high quality of the consultants who work here, and of the low turnover we have. Each consultant lives and breathes the values of the company, and is really in it for the long term.

Of course, these high quality relationships extend to the clients we work with, the candidates we meet, and the service providers that support our business. It really is incredible how many wonderful people we have had the good fortune to interact with, and for this we are very grateful.

There are many highlights of the past 15 years, but a few things stand out:

-   The messages of thanks from our happy clients whose businesses we have helped is a key outcome that we are fortunate to have experienced again and again.

-   The messages of deep gratitude from executives that we have placed has been one of the most positive aspects of what we do. Knowing that we have made a positive impact on someone life is a very inspiring and motivating outcome from the work we do.

-   The relationships we have developed with the thousands of wonderful people who we have met over the years. We are grateful to you for allowing us to learn from you.

-   The company trips we have taken – both international and domestic – have provided a lot of great memories. We have been very fortunate to toast our success in a variety of beautiful and fun settings. Watching the sunset on the beach in Thailand, weathering a rainstorm in Okinawa, Having parties in Hakone in all seasons. There are a lot of images and memories from these trips that will stay with me.

“Success” is defined differently by different people, and our business is no exception. For us, success in recruitment comes from making lots of little deposits in the karma – or favor - bank. We like to contribute to people’s development by providing information and market knowledge that is helpful, while showing a sincere interest as a career advisor. This is where our value really lies and we believe is our key point of difference. The reason that we started this business – to focus on the people, quality over quantity – is as true now as it was when we started.

I am very grateful to my team, our clients, and the people we have met that have helped us achieve a modest measure of success.  To all, I say a heartfelt, “Thank you!” At the same time, I know that “success” is not a destination, but a signpost that says you are doing things right, so far. It is my passionate belief that the best is yet to come. We look forward to the next 15 years.

Offered respectfully, and sincerely,
